Traveling to Prince Rupert

BY PLANE:

Scheduled air service is available to Prince Rupert (YPR) from Vancouver (YVR), British Columbia, via Hawk Air and Air Canada.

BY CAR:

From Vancouver, B.C., travel north on Trans Canada Hwy. 1 to Provincial Highway 97 (approximately 320 km); go north on provincial Highway 97 to Yellowhead Highway 16, (approximately 410 km); go west on Yellowhead Highway 16 to Prince Rupert (approximately 690 km). Check highway road conditions at Drive BC.

As an alternate driving route, a ferry may be taken from Tsawwassen (www.bcferries.bc.ca) to Port Hardy and from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert.

DRIVING FROM VICTORIA:

Take B.C. Ferries (www.bcferries.bc.ca). The same alternate route from Vancouver is also suggested for the drive from Victoria with an additional ferry from Victoria to Vancouver and continuing as mentioned above.

DRIVING FROM SEATTLE:

Travel north on I-5 from Seattle. Cross the Peace Arch Border into Canada, follow route from Vancouver as mentioned above.
